Live production status

Live production status

Each OSI SAF product in near real-time or offline is continuously monitored by the operations teams in the production subsystems.

The "Live production status" shows the current distribution status and can be nominal, degraded or outage. As the OSI SAF products are processed and disseminated from different production subsystems, the live production status is distributed on three web pages :

Nominal, degraded or outageFor the Sea Surface Temperature and Radiative Fluxes products covering LML, North Atlantic Regional (NAR) and Global areas, go to the LML live production status web page.

For the Global Sea Ice products, the High Latitude SST and the High Latitude Radiative Fluxes, go to the HL live production status web page.

For the Wind products, go to the WIND live production status web page.

Please note that on each page describing a product on this web site, you have a direct link to the right live production web page. Just click on " Live production status" in the VIEW MORE section.

Product status

Each OSI SAF product has also a formal "product status" : it can be operational, pre-operational, in development, discontinued or released.

Operational, pre-operational, in development, discontinued, released

  • Operational means that the product is distributed in near real-time or offline. A scientific validation was done before it was declared operational and it is continuously monitored to assess its quality.
  • Pre-operational means that the product is distributed in near real-time or offline. Some validation elements are missing preventing the product to be declared operational.
  • In development means that the product or data record is an OSI SAF commitment and the OSI SAF team is working on its implementation.
  • Discontinued means the near real-time or offline product has been stopped because of stop of input data flow or because the product has been superseded by another product.
  • Released is used for data records (collection of data covering a fixed time period). It means the data record is available to users. As for operational products, a scientific validation was done before it was released.

On each page describing a product on this web site, you also have its formal status.
